My services
At present most of my sessions are being conducted via telephone and zoom style sessions.
If you are based in the West midlands area (Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Telford, Stafford) I am able to offer face to face appointments please enquire for further information.
I also take referrals from Bupa, IPRS, Hello Self, PLE , WPA, Vitality, AXA & Cigna.
Initial Assessment (50 mins)
Once we have a time and date booked in we will cover a number of areas in the first appointment. The initial appointment will last approximately 50 mins.
To start there will be some questionnaires completed which will be sent out to you before hand so we have more time in the session to cover more about what’s going on for you. The questionnaires are all about how you’re feeling and what you’re experiencing. These are usually collected during the course of therapy so we can have a look at any changes and see how therapy is helping.
The next part of the assessment is all about you and what’s bought you to therapy. This can feel overwhelming but I will guide you through the questions so we have a good understanding of your difficulties. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. You are in control throughout the appointment and are able to say ‘No, I’m not ready to go there yet’.
We will then move onto what your hopes and expectations for therapy are, this is usually written down as your own personal goals for therapy.
To end the session I will answer any questions that you may have and talk about the type of therapy, the frequency and duration of the sessions.
1:1 therapy sessions (50 mins)
Once we have completed our initial assessment we will move onto tailored sessions around your difficulties using either CBT or EMDR.
You will always be at the heart of the sessions and will always have the opportunity to add to what we will cover.
*Please note that when working with PTSD or Trauma, sessions may last 90mins. This will incur an additional cost.
Follow Up Appointment (50 mins)
These appointments are for those of you who have completed a course of therapy with me and feel like you need a quick refresher or couple of sessions to get back on track. They are helpful if you would like to revisit a specific technique or are noticing that you are having a lapse (which is completely normal).
Supervision
I’m excited to offer supervision to my fellow CBT therapists. As a supervisor, I focus on creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clinicians can explore challenging cases, reflect on their practice, and refine their skills. This process not only enhances the quality of care provided to clients but also supports the professional growth of the supervisee through constructive feedback, role-playing, and the sharing of best practices. I ensure that ethical guidelines, evidence-based approaches, and therapeutic boundaries are always upheld throughout our work together.
